Please take a moment to view the picture from my wedding on OCT 25th 1997. It was the most important day of my life and I wanted to look my very best on my big day. But unfortunately, I was not able to find good makeup artist. I am fairly certain that if I had met Racquel during that time, she would have made me look and feel like a princess. I did not like the makeup on my wedding day, as it was very dull and in the end it made me quite unhappy. My makeup artist was not able to understand what I really wanted. I was looking for someone to create a 1960's look, specifically a depiction of what my mother used to look like. The biggest mistake that I made was not having a trial rehearsal with my makeup artist. This in turn led to the unsatisfied feeling I experienced on my actual wedding day.

After my wedding in 1997, I had always wanted to re-create my wedding photos with another makeup artist, but until now I was unable to find someone who could create the look that I wanted. When Racquel and I met, she gave me the idea of re-creating my wedding day. I immediately wanted to learn more. On November 21st, 2007, she and I worked together to re-create my wedding moment. I wore the same outfit as I had originally worn on my wedding day. I went out and bought new bindis and a new set of bangles to make the moment extra special.
When my entire makeup, hair and dupatta was completed and I was able to take the first look, this was truly one of the happiest moments of my life. In the mirror, I finally saw my mother’s 1960’s look which I had always once pictured for my wedding. I even wore my mother’s tikka on my forehead. It was such a wonderful feeling.
I now have no regrets for the disappointing makeup experience from my wedding in 1997. During the time with Racquel, I felt very beautiful and was shocked with the wonderful work she had created.
Now, I can finally display my bridal pictures for all to see as I love them very much. Racquel and I had great fun as friends on this wonderful day which entailed re-creating my wedding moment.
I really want to take this time to thank Raquel who put her heart and sole into this project and amazed me by her talent and professionalism. When my husband took a look at me, he was stunned and said that I looked absolutely fabulous. I must say Racquel is very talented and I can see her one day creating looks for the “red carpet”. I am a very picky person and it is very difficult to please me. If you have managed to accomplish this, then you truly are the best, as Racquel proved to be.
When I met Raquel, I knew that she was the only one that could help me accomplish creating a bridal look that I have only seen in my dreams. I really enjoyed her style of working with clients. She studies each client’s features and then decides to give the best look for them that will focus on those particular attributes. In my opinion, this is the best way to conduct this form of artistry.
